MANSFIELD — Superintendent Teresa Murphy and Principal Timothy Tichacek are pleased to announce the top 10 students for the Mansfield High School Class of 2022.
The Valedictorian of the Class of 2022 is James Li. He plans to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the fall, studying computer science. The Salutatorian of the Class of 2022 is Sasanka Ponnaganti. He plans to attend the University of Maryland at College Park in the fall, studying computer science.
“I would like to commend each of the top 10 students for their accomplishments throughout their entire school careers,” Superintendent Murphy said. “They are tremendous leaders both in the classroom and in their community, and we know they will go on to do great things as part of the next chapters in their lives.”
The remaining Mansfield High School Class of 2022 top 10 students, listed in alphabetical order, includes:
- Chloe Censorio – Northeastern University, studying biochemistry (pre-med track)
- Caitlin Dumouchel – University of Connecticut, undecided
- Sagar Koul – Georgetown University, Walsh School of Foreign Service, studying international politics and global business
- Sahil Koul – Dartmouth College, studying economics, English and film
- Amanda Lee – Tufts University, studying biomedical engineering
- Grace Nelson – Tufts University, studying English
- Anwesa Sahu – University of Rochester, studying computer science
- Diwakar Sandhu – Worcester Polytechnic Institute, studying computer science
“All of our graduates this year have shown tremendous resiliency and determination after the uncertainty of the past few years, and we applaud each of them for their hard work,” Principal Tichacek said. “In particular, our top 10 students have continuously proven to be highly dedicated learners who have left their mark on Mansfield High, and we wish them the best of luck in their futures.”
