MANSFIELD — Superintendent Teresa Murphy and Athletic Director Mike Redding are pleased to announce new coaches for the fall 2021 athletics season at Mansfield High School.
Fall sports began at MHS on Aug. 23. New coaches include:
Tara DeGirolamo, head volleyball coach – DeGirolamo, who previously served as JV volleyball coach, has been a math teacher at Qualters Middle School since 2000, and is a QMS math interventionist starting this school year.
“My husband Mark is the one who encouraged and inspired me to coach the girls volleyball team. I see what a difference he has made both on and off the field for his players coaching both football and lacrosse at MHS, and I hope to have a similar impact with the girls volleyball program,” DeGirolamo said. “The girls in the program are absolutely fantastic and the coaching staff couldn’t be more helpful. I am so excited for the season.”
Melanie Anderson, freshmen field hockey coach – Anderson has been a Mansfield High School special education teacher since 2019, and is a 2015 graduate of Mansfield High.
“I am so excited about my new role as the freshmen field hockey coach and am looking forward to a great season,” she said.
Alyssa Kelley, varsity assistant volleyball coach – Kelley is a graduate of Mansfield High, where she played volleyball and basketball. She played volleyball at Bridgewater State University while majoring in education, and currently teaches at the Robinson Elementary School.
Alli Belanger, JV volleyball coach – Belanger moves from her previous role as freshmen volleyball coach. She is a 2016 graduate of Mansfield High.
Hannah Haleudeth, freshmen volleyball coach – Haleudeth is a longtime speech-language pathology clinician. She is a 2013 graduate of Mansfield High School.
Thomas Flamimi, freshmen football coach – Flamimi is a Qualters Middle School health and wellness teacher. He was hired as a teacher in 2019 and is a MHS 2010 graduate.
Giscard Sarkis, freshmen boys soccer coach – Sarkis is a 2008 graduate of Mansfield High.

In addition to the new coaches on staff, Tim Selmon has been appointed Assistant Athletic Director at Mansfield High School.
Selmon was hired by the district in 2004 as a wellness/physical education teacher. He has coached varsity football at Mansfield High for 17 years and has served as head of strength and conditioning for all sports at MHS for 12 years.
“I’m very excited about my new role in athletic administration and looking forward to working with all the great coaches and athletes at Mansfield High School,” Assistant AD Selmon said. “It’s a privilege to be in a leadership role at one of, if not the best athletic program in all of Massachusetts.”
